Three Union County High School students launched a financial literacy project called Secure Seniors to combat elder financial fraud, hosting engaging events at nursing homes and raising awareness through education and outreach. With support from United Community and a meeting at the Georgia State Capitol, they highlighted how technology is outpacing legislation and advocated for innovative solutions like AI. Their efforts earned second place at the DECA International Career Development Conference and have already impacted over 250 nursing homes nationwide, proving that even small ideas can lead to meaningful change.

United team members in Wake County, NC, volunteered in a Habitat for Humanity build, supporting affordable homeownership in their community. This effort reflects the United Community Bank Foundation’s commitment to investing in communities and helping families achieve their housing goals.

The Fox Carolina Surprise Squad honored local veterans in the Greenville area through a donation to Wreaths Across America. This organization works to remember, honor, and teach about fallen veterans. The local chapter worked to place a wreath for every single fallen veteran in Woodlawn Memorial Park for Veterans Day.
